What should you put on a wedding website for accommodation?

Short answer

List nearby hotels, B&Bs and self-catering options with postcodes, booking links and approximate distance from the venue. Include a note about shuttle buses, taxis or parking. Add a deadline for group booking discounts if you have arranged any.

Start with the venue's own rooms if it has any, then work outwards. For each option, give the name, address, postcode, phone number and a direct booking link. Say whether it is a hotel, guesthouse, pub with rooms or holiday cottage. Mention the rough travel time to the venue by car and on foot if it is walkable.

Add practical details: check-in and check-out times, whether breakfast is included, and if there is a lift or ground floor rooms for guests with limited mobility. If you have reserved a block of rooms, say the code or how to book and the date the discount ends. Tell guests to book early if the area is busy for holidays or events.

Include a short section on getting there: train station, bus stop, taxi firm, and whether you are arranging coaches from the accommodation to the reception. If guests are staying in different places, suggest a meeting point for the morning. Finally, add a friendly line inviting guests to ask you or your wedding party if they need help choosing somewhere to stay.
