Short answer
Put the practical details guests ask most: travel, parking, dress code, timings, children, food and drink, gifts, and any religious or cultural customs. Keep answers short and friendly.
Your FAQ section should answer the questions guests are too polite to ask. Start with the basics: the exact address of the ceremony and reception, what time doors open, and when the meal and dancing start. Add parking information, taxi numbers, and whether there is a shuttle or lift sharing. Tell guests the dress code plainly, for example lounge suits or cocktail dresses, and what the weather might mean for outdoor parts.
If children are invited, say so clearly, and if they are not, explain that kindly. Mention whether there will be a children's menu or a creche. Food and drink questions matter, so list any dietary options and how guests can tell you about allergies. If you have a gift list, say where to find it, but make clear that their presence is the real gift. Also include whether phones and cameras are welcome during the ceremony, and if you have an unplugged ceremony, ask guests to switch off.
For faith or cultural weddings, explain any customs guests may not know, such as when to stand, what to wear in a place of worship, or what a particular ritual means. If you are having a legal ceremony and a separate religious one, explain the order of the day. Finally, add a note that rules can change, so guests should check GOV.UK for any legal or travel updates. Keep each answer to two or three sentences, and update the page if anything changes.
