Can you provide an example of a wedding website schedule?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For the bridal party

Short answer

A sample schedule: 1pm guests arrive, 1.30pm ceremony, 2.30pm drinks and canapés, 4pm wedding breakfast, 7pm speeches, 7.30pm evening guests arrive, 8pm dancing, 11.30pm last orders, midnight end.

Here is a typical UK wedding day schedule you can adapt. It assumes a mid-afternoon ceremony and an evening party. Adjust times to suit your venue and season.

  • 1.00pm guests arrive, welcome drinks and seating
  • 1.30pm ceremony begins
  • 2.15pm confetti and photographs
  • 2.30pm drinks reception and canapés
  • 4.00pm wedding breakfast (meal) begins
  • 6.30pm speeches and toasts
  • 7.00pm evening guests arrive
  • 7.30pm cake cutting and first dance
  • 8.00pm evening buffet and dancing
  • 11.30pm last orders at the bar
  • 12.00am end of the day, transport to hotels

If you have a religious ceremony, check with your place of worship for timings and any rules. For a register office or approved venue, confirm the ceremony slot with them. You can add a separate schedule for the bridal party, with times for hair, make-up, photos and getting to the venue. Let guests know when to arrive for the evening if they are only invited to that part.
