How to find a person's wedding registry?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For guests · For parents

Short answer

Ask the couple directly, or look on their wedding website, which usually links to their gift list or registry. If you cannot find it, a close family member or member of the bridal party can help.

The easiest way to find a wedding gift list is to check the couple's wedding website. Most couples now build a site to share their venue, timings and RSVP details, and they often add a gift section there too. Look for a tab or link called Gifts, Registry, or Wish List. Some sites link straight to a shop, while others let guests choose cash, experiences or a contribution toward a honeymoon.

If the website has no gift section, try asking the couple or a member of their bridal party. A bridesmaid, best man, parent or close friend will usually know where the couple registered, or they may have a group chat where details are shared. Do not feel shy about asking. It is far better than guessing or buying something they already have.

A few things to remember:

  • Not every couple keeps a traditional registry. Some prefer cash funds, charity donations or no gifts at all.
  • If the couple is having a destination wedding, their website may explain how gifts can be sent to the UK or to the venue.
  • If you cannot find anything after asking, a small card with your well wishes is always welcome.
