Can I find a couple's wedding website by name and last name for free?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For guests · For parents

Short answer

Not reliably. Most couples do not make their website searchable by name, so a free name search usually will not find it. You need the link or an invitation.

There is no free public directory of wedding websites, and search engines do not index most of them. Couples keep their sites private to protect guests' details and to avoid spam. This means typing a name into a search bar rarely works.

The most dependable ways to get the address are:

  • Check the invitation, save-the-date or QR code. The link is usually printed or hidden in the code.
  • Ask the couple directly, or ask a member of the bridal party, parents or best friend.
  • Look at the couple's social media, where they may share the link in a post or bio.
  • Check your RSVP email or text, which often includes the URL.

If you have been given a QR code, scan it with your phone camera. It should take you straight to the site without needing a name search. Some sites do allow a guest code to be entered instead of a link, so keep any code safe.

If you still cannot find it, do not keep guessing. A quick message to the couple or their family will get you the right address and avoid confusion.
