Wedding websites, RSVP and QR codes · Finding a couple's website

How do I find a wedding website if the QR code doesn't work?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For guests

Short answer

Ask the couple directly for the website address, or check the invitation, save-the-date card, or any wedding email they sent. You can also search their names and 'wedding website' online. If all else fails, ask a member of the bridal party or a close family member.

If the QR code on your invitation or save-the-date card won't scan, don't worry. The simplest way is to ask the couple for the website address. They will be happy to share it again. Check the back of the invitation, the envelope, or any separate card included in the post. Many couples also put the website link in their email signatures or on their social media profiles.

If you cannot find it, try a web search using both their names and the word 'wedding'. You might also try their names plus 'RSVP' or 'wedding website'. If the couple has a common name, add the venue or the wedding date to narrow it down.

If you still cannot find it, contact a member of the bridal party, a parent, or a close friend. They will usually have the link. You can also ask the couple directly by text, phone, or in person. There is no need to feel awkward. Couples expect guests to need help with technology sometimes.

Remember that the QR code is just a shortcut. The website address is usually printed somewhere too, even if it is small. If not, a quick message will sort it out.
