Short answer
Seven days before the wedding, confirm final numbers with your caterer and venue, check your legal paperwork is ready, and do a final fitting of your outfit. Also, pack your emergency kit, delegate tasks, and arrange for someone to handle any last-minute issues.
The week before is about checking and confirming, not starting anything new. Contact your venue and caterer with the final guest count, including any children or dietary needs. Confirm the arrival times for suppliers, the cake, the flowers and the photographer. Make sure your marriage schedule or certificate details are correct, and that your witnesses know where to be and when.
Do a final try-on of your outfit, including shoes and any accessories. Check that everything is clean, pressed and fits comfortably. Pack a small emergency kit with safety pins, plasters, a sewing kit, stain remover, tissues, mints and any medication. Put it somewhere you or a bridal party member can reach easily.
Write down the order of the day, from getting ready to the last dance, and share it with your key people. Assign someone to be the point of contact for suppliers and any problems on the day, so you are not fielding calls. Confirm your readings, vows and any music with the registrar or celebrant. If you are having a religious ceremony, check with your place of worship about any final requirements.
Finally, rest. Eat well, sleep, and try to enjoy the last few days. The details are in place; your main job now is to arrive calm and present.
