What should you put on a wedding website for parking and transport?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For guests

Short answer

Put a clear transport page with parking details, including whether there is on-site parking, nearby public car parks, and any shuttle or taxi options, plus a map and directions.

Start with the venue's postcode and a short note that it is easy to find. Then give parking information: is there a free car park on site, or is parking paid and nearby? If parking is limited, say so and suggest car sharing. Include details of any accessible parking spaces and how to book them. If you are providing a shuttle bus or coach from a hotel or station, give the pick-up times and how to reserve a seat. For guests arriving by train or bus, name the nearest station and say whether it is a short taxi ride or walk. Add a note about taxi companies in the area, but do not name them; just say to book in advance. If the venue is rural, mention that phone signal may be poor and that taxis may need pre-booking. Also say if there is a drop-off point at the entrance for guests with mobility needs. Finally, include a simple map or a link to an online map, and a note that the venue will have signs on the day. Keep it practical and reassuring.
