Short answer
Keep the wording simple and joyful, with no mention of it being a second wedding unless you want to. Use the same format as any invitation, but you can omit parents' names if they are not hosting, and include children's names if they are part of the day.
For a second or older couple, the invitation wording follows the same warm and clear style as any other wedding invitation. There is no need to say "second marriage" or "again" unless you specifically want to. Many couples simply use their own names and host the wedding themselves, so you can write "Together with their families" or just "Together with their children" if that fits. If you are hosting yourselves, start with "Together with their families" or simply "The pleasure of your company is requested at the marriage of..." and then give both names.
If you have children from previous relationships, you can include them on the invitation, for example "Emma, with her children Jack and Lily, and Tom" or list them as "with their children". This makes everyone feel included. You might also want to mention a joint surname if you are taking one, but that is your choice. Keep the date, time and venue details clear, and add an RSVP line as usual. If you are having a smaller ceremony or a renewal of vows instead, say that clearly so guests know what to expect. The tone should be celebratory and straightforward, with no apology or explanation needed.
