Cultures and traditions
Weddings across Middle East
Gulf weddings are rich with tradition and grandeur. Many couples blend Islamic customs with local heritage, hosting separate men's and women's gatherings, a formal engagement, a henna night, and the main wedding reception. The majlis is a central space for welcoming guests, often with Arabic coffee and dates. Celebrations can span several days, with families hosting multiple events, from intimate courtyard ceremonies to lavish ballroom receptions. In cities like Dubai and Doha, modernity meets tradition; you might see a classic white wedding dress alongside a beautifully embroidered thobe, or a traditional zaffeh procession leading into a glittering hotel ballroom. Music, poetry, and intricate floral designs play a significant role, and food is always abundant. Respect for family and faith is paramount, and every detail, from the seating to the timing of prayers, is carefully considered. Couples often seek to honour their parents and grandparents by including cultural touches, while also adding personal, contemporary elements that reflect their own story.
Your guest list may span continents, with relatives in different emirates, other Gulf states, and further afield. Coordinating invitations and RSVPs for multiple events across time zones can be a challenge. A single wedding website solves this by giving every household a private link, so they only see the events they're invited to. They can RSVP to each event, choose their meal, and find maps and timings, all on their phone. This keeps everyone informed and reduces the stress of chasing responses, leaving you to enjoy the celebrations.

Questions
Your questions
Can we have our website in Arabic as well as English?
Yes. Our Signature package adds wording in Arabic, so your site can be read in both languages. We can also add Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati or Bengali. The site is written and set up by our team in Manchester, and you can switch between languages easily.
How do we share the website with our guests?
You can share the website link by WhatsApp, email, or on your printed cards using the QR code we provide. Each guest household gets a private link, so they only see the events they are invited to. It works on any phone or computer.
Can we have separate RSVPs for the men's and women's events?
Absolutely. You can set up as many events as you need, and each household can RSVP to each one separately. They can also choose their meal and note dietary requirements. You'll see everything in your guest dashboard, which you can export to a spreadsheet.
We have family who can't travel. Can they watch online?
Yes, the Signature package includes a live stream page. You can share a private link with family overseas, so they can watch the ceremony or reception from home. This is a lovely way to include loved ones who cannot be with you in person.
