How do you make a wedding website with a QR code?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For guests

Short answer

Use a wedding website builder that generates a QR code for your site, then download it and add it to your stationery or signs. Most builders offer this as a built-in feature.

Start by creating your wedding website with a builder that lets you add your details, schedule, travel info and gift list. Once your site is live, look for a QR code option in the settings or share menu. The builder will create a unique code that links straight to your site. Download it as a high-resolution image so it prints clearly.

You can then place the QR code on your save-the-date cards, invitations, order of service booklets or welcome signs. Guests scan it with their phone camera to open your site instantly. Make sure the code is large enough, at least 2 centimetres square, and printed on a plain background for easy scanning. Test it yourself before sending anything out.

If your builder does not offer a QR code, you can use a free online QR code generator. Paste your website address in, generate the code, and download it. Keep the same code for all your stationery so guests always land on the same page. Update the website content as needed, the code does not change.
