How do you make a QR code for a wedding registry?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For guests

Short answer

Use a free QR code generator online, paste your registry page link, then download and print the code. Place it on your wedding website, save-the-dates or order of service so guests can scan and view your gift list easily.

Start by choosing a free QR code generator website. Copy the web address of your wedding gift list page, whether it is a single shop or a combined gift list. Paste that link into the generator and create a static QR code, which never expires. Download it as a high-resolution image, ideally PNG, so it prints clearly. Then add it to your wedding website, your e-invites, your printed invitations or a small card on the table at the reception. You can also print it on your order of service booklet or a welcome sign. Make sure the code is large enough to scan from a phone at arm's length, and test it with both iPhone and Android before printing. Keep the registry link simple and short, because long links can make the code dense and harder to scan. If you use a wedding website builder, some include a QR code tool, but a separate generator works just as well. Avoid putting the code only on one item, because guests may miss it. Put it in two or three places, such as the website homepage and the invitation insert.
