Short answer
Stop worrying by deciding what truly matters to you both. Write down your top three priorities, and let every other detail be good enough. Remind yourself that guests remember how you made them feel, not the napkin colour.
Worry about details usually comes from trying to make everything perfect. But perfection is not a realistic goal, and guests simply do not notice most small details. Start by sitting down with your partner and agreeing on three things that matter most, for example the food, the music, and the ceremony itself. Give those your energy.
For everything else, set a simple rule: if it is not one of your three priorities, it only needs to be fine, not flawless. When you catch yourself worrying about a detail, ask, 'Will this matter in a year?' If the answer is no, let it go.
It also helps to give each task a deadline. Worry thrives when decisions are left open. Choose a date by which you will decide on flowers, transport, or favours, and then move on. Once a decision is made, do not revisit it.
Finally, talk to your partner about your worries. Often simply saying them out loud shrinks them. And if a detail goes wrong on the day, remember that you are the only person who knows the plan. Everyone else is just there to celebrate with you.
