What is the wording for a wedding invitation when the couple and parents are all hosting?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For parents

Short answer

Together with their parents, [Couple Names] request the pleasure of your company at their wedding on [date] at [venue]. This wording shows everyone hosting equally.

When the couple and both sets of parents are hosting together, the classic wording is: "Together with their parents, [Couple Names] request the pleasure of your company at their wedding celebration on [date] at [time] at [venue]." You can list all parents by name if you prefer: "Together with their families, [Couple Names]..." or "With their parents, [Couple Names]..." This works for any family shape, including divorced or remarried parents. If you want to name everyone, write: "Together with their parents, [Mother's Name] and [Father's Name], and [Mother's Name] and [Father's Name], [Couple Names]..." Keep it simple if the list gets long. You can also say "Together with their families" and then add a separate line for parents' names on the invitation, or leave it out entirely. The key is that the phrase "together with" signals joint hosting. For a more modern feel, you can write: "[Couple Names], together with their parents, invite you to celebrate their marriage..." Always include the date, time, venue and RSVP details. If you have a wedding website, add that line too.
