Short answer
Breastfeeding is perfectly acceptable at a wedding and should be treated as normal. You may feed your baby wherever you sit, and guests should offer discretion and support rather than comment.
Feeding your baby is a natural part of parenting, and no one should make you feel self-conscious about it. If you are comfortable, you can feed your baby openly in your seat. If you prefer more privacy, many venues have a quiet room or a side area where you can go. Some couples even arrange a private space for parents who need it.
As a guest, if you see someone breastfeeding, simply carry on with your own conversation. Do not stare, take photos, or make comments. A little kindness goes a long way. If you are a parent, you do not need to announce that you are feeding your baby, but let your partner or a nearby relative know if you plan to move around.
If you are worried about your outfit or positioning, practise beforehand so you feel confident. Bring a small cover if it helps you feel more comfortable, but remember that using one is your choice, not a requirement. Weddings are celebrations of family, and babies are part of that.
