What are some wedding table decoration ideas for round tables?

Answered by the UK Wedding Websites editorial team · Updated 2026-10-12 · For the bridal party

Short answer

Place one central arrangement, either low and wide or tall and slim. Use a round mirror or wooden slice underneath, and add candles around the edge of the centrepiece.

Round tables are easy to decorate because everything radiates from the centre. The main decision is the centrepiece shape. A low, wide arrangement of flowers, greenery and candles works well and lets guests see each other. A tall, slim vase with a few stems adds height without blocking views, but keep the base narrow so it does not take up too much room.

Place the centrepiece on a round mirror, a wooden slice or a linen napkin to anchor it. Around the base, scatter tea lights, small flowers or petals. If you have a larger table, you can add a second smaller arrangement off to one side, but keep it balanced.

For round tables of eight or ten, you do not need place cards at every seat unless you want a seating plan. Instead, put a single menu card or a small favour at each place. Candles work well in clusters of three or five. If your venue allows, mix heights with a few pillar candles and some votives. Remember to leave space for the serving dishes if you are having a family-style meal.
