Short answer
You can make an easy DIY bridal veil by attaching a veil comb to a length of tulle or netting and finishing the edges with fabric glue or a narrow stitch.
Start by choosing your fabric. Soft tulle or illusion net in ivory, white or a colour that matches your dress works well. Measure the length you want, then add a few extra centimetres for folding over the comb and for hemming.
Cut the fabric to size. You can leave the edges raw for a soft look, or fold them over and secure with fabric glue or a very narrow stitch. If you are unsure about sewing, fabric glue is a simple option, but test it on a scrap first.
Attach a veil comb or a hair clip along the folded top edge. Use strong thread and a few small stitches, or a small amount of fabric glue, to hold it in place. Make sure the comb sits level and will not slip when you move.
Before the wedding day, try the veil on with your dress and hairstyle. Adjust the length or the comb position if needed. If you are worried about it not staying put, ask a member of the bridal party to help you fix it in place.
