Short answer
Anyone you want can wear flowers at a wedding. Traditionally the couple, bridal party, parents and grandparents wear them, but there are no rules. Choose what feels right for you and your budget.
There is no legal or fixed rule about who should wear flowers. In many UK weddings, the couple, bridesmaids, page boys, flower girls, ushers, parents and grandparents wear buttonholes or corsages. But you can decide entirely for yourselves. Some couples choose to wear flowers only on their own outfits, while others include close family and friends as a thank you for their support.
Think about who will be in formal photographs, as flowers can help people feel part of the occasion. You might also include the person who reads a poem, or the friend who makes a speech. If you have a small wedding, you may prefer to skip flowers for guests altogether.
Flowers do not have to match the gender of the wearer. Anyone can wear a buttonhole, a corsage, a flower crown or a pocket square with a bloom. Ask your florist or venue about any restrictions, especially for religious buildings. Some places of worship have rules about flowers, so check with them directly.
The most important thing is that everyone feels comfortable. If someone does not want to wear flowers, that is fine. Your wedding, your choice.
