Weddings in Seoul
Traditions and style
Weddings in Seoul often blend deep-rooted tradition with contemporary style. Many couples begin with a Western-style ceremony in a wedding hall or hotel, complete with a white dress and tuxedo, before moving to a separate room for the pyebaek. During the pyebaek, the couple bows to their parents and elders, and in return receive blessings and words of wisdom. The bride may wear a hanbok for this part, and the couple might offer chestnuts and jujubes to symbolise fertility and respect. The reception that follows is a lively meal with toasts, photos, and time for guests to greet the couple. International couples are warmly welcomed, and many choose to include both Korean and their own cultural elements, creating a day that honours both families. The tone is joyful, respectful, and family-focused, with guests often dressed in smart, muted colours.
Where couples marry
Couples in Seoul have a wonderful choice of settings. Traditional venues include palaces like Gyeongbokgung or Changdeokgung, where hanok architecture and serene gardens provide a timeless backdrop. For a more modern feel, sleek wedding halls in Gangnam or along the Han River offer panoramic city views. Many couples also choose to hold their ceremony in a hanok village, such as Bukchon, for intimate, heritage-rich photos. The most popular seasons are spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is mild and the foliage or cherry blossoms are at their finest. Winter weddings are cosy but can be cold, so indoor venues are often preferred. Whatever you choose, your website can include maps and directions to help guests find the venue easily.

For guests travelling to Seoul
Guests travelling to Seoul for a wedding will appreciate clear information about the events, dress code, and how to get around. Many will be coming from abroad, so time zone reminders and travel tips are helpful. Your website can list each event, ceremony, pyebaek, and reception, with its own RSVP, so guests can confirm which parts they will attend. Private household links mean each family only sees the events they are invited to, which is especially useful if some guests are only attending the reception. You can also share the site by QR code on printed cards, and use the guest dashboard to keep track of who is coming from which country. This makes planning smoother for you and your guests, whether they are local or flying in.

Questions
Wedding websites in Seoul: your questions
Can I have separate RSVPs for the ceremony, pyebaek, and reception?
Yes, absolutely. Each event gets its own RSVP, so guests can confirm which parts they will attend. You can also set up private links for each household, so families only see the events they are invited to. This is perfect for weddings with multiple events and international guests.
Our families speak different languages, can the website be in Korean too?
Our sites are written in English, but we can add wording in several other languages, including Arabic, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarati, and Bengali, on our Signature package. We don't offer Korean, but you can easily add your own Korean text to the site, or use our English pages as a base and share translations separately.
How do guests RSVP if they don't use email?
Guests don't need email. Each household gets a private link, which they can open on any phone. They can also scan a QR code from your printed cards or receive the link via WhatsApp. The RSVP form is simple and mobile-friendly, so everyone can respond easily.
Can we have a live stream for relatives who can't travel to Seoul?
Yes, our Signature package includes a live stream page. You can embed a video from a service like YouTube or Vimeo, and share the link with family abroad. This way, grandparents or friends who can't make the trip can still watch the ceremony and feel part of the day.
