The Courtyard Hall · London
Shanice and Andre met at a Caribbean cultural showcase in Brixton, where Andre’s spoken word piece about island heritage moved Shanice to tears. They bonded over a mutual love of soca music, vintage dancehall records, and the way their families tell stories around the dinner table.
Their relationship grew through late-night talks, shared playlists, and trips to the Notting Hill Carnival, where they danced as if no one was watching. We are honoured to welcome you to celebrate their union, and we hope you bring your best energy and your loudest laugh.

The venue is a short walk from Brixton Underground Station, with ample parking available nearby for those driving. We recommend using public transport where possible, as roads can be busy on a Saturday.
A range of guest houses and boutique hotels are available in Brixton and Clapham, many within a 15-minute walk of the venue. We suggest booking early, as June is a popular month for visitors.
Guests are invited to wear smart-casual attire with a nod to Caribbean colours and patterns. Gentlemen may wear linen suits or shirts with trousers, while ladies are encouraged to wear dresses or separates in bright, joyful tones.
Yes, we have ensured that each meal includes a vegetarian or vegan alternative, clearly marked on the menu.
Children are welcome at the ceremony and reception, though we ask that parents keep an eye on them during the speeches and cake cutting.
